PLEASURE. EDUCATION. EROTICISM.

Oh hi there! My name is Ariadna (I also go by Chip or Chippie in online spaces) and I am a self-taught queer Venezuelan artist currently based in Houston, TX. Artistic and creative work has always allowed me to explore, play, experiment, and grow upon the themes that resonate with my internal values and desires.

I have always been someone of many interests. A love of maths and the sciences focused my educational path toward a degree in psychological research, and a passion for reproductive justice and sexuality empowerment moved me toward a certification in holistic sex education. While on paper, these felt separated, it is through the beauty of art that I can meld them together to provide a holistic and integrated lens to my work.

Within sex education, art and pedagogy can have a beautiful symbiosis. Pedagogical education provides us with information about positively impacting one's sexual wellness. Art works in tandem with this to lift the veil of shame, provide permission to explore taboo topics, and lower hurdles of vulnerable conversations around sex, pleasure, and sexuality.

Now, four years into regularly creating artistic work, I have found a way to cohesively bring together my previously separated interests of art, psychology, and human sexuality. I bring dreamy romantic tones to my work, incorporating themes of intimacy, nature, and hedonistic pleasure through a queer lens,  aiming to start open, and brave conversations about pleasure.

Why Erocosmica?
Sex is something that is often sold to us in small neatly wrapped containers. Through specific expectations of what it should look like. And yet, almost rebelliously, as we begin to unwrap those expectations we realize just how expansive sexuality can be. Personally, I live for this. I love that sex, relationships, and pleasure can all become a beautifully creative and bespoke experience for every person. And yet, it can also be incredibly overwhelming to know that sex and sexuality can be what you make of it. And this is where my sex education practices come into play.
Eros + Cosmic
There is a somatic practice that I fell in love with known as body mapping. Body mapping is when you create a map of your body, a way for you to be able to navigate your senses. I like to incorporate this practice with mindful masturbation practices. As it allows one to explore the body without judgement, and then create a literal map to pleasure. This is the combination of "eros" and the "cosmic", and is present in many of my paintings.
Information • Creativity Connection
The goal of my sex education practices is not to tell you what is the correct way to have sex, but for you to be able to have the information you need to make informed decisions about your own sexual wellness. This means providing information in a manner that is both ethical and delivered without judgment. To allow you to have the information necessary to make a decision that aligns with your internal values and goals.

It is then through having a strong knowledge base that we can get freaky with our sexual exploration. Allowing us to become more creative and open to new avenues of unveiling our sexuality, at any stage of our life.

Together, information and creativity, facilitate authentic connection. This can be a connection with yourself, a partner, or a group. This trifecta of information, creativity, and connection is where that erotic energy lies, which then allows us to explore our deepest desires, and form truly remarkable memories.
