​For many of us, the story we have with sex, relationships, and pleasure is one filled with shoulds and externally placed expectations, often stemming from outdated values and moralistic purity culture. These stories thrive in conditions where sex is taboo and something to be ashamed of. Which is why I am so adamant about the power of open and brave conversations around sexuality. It cracks open those limiting barriers and allows one to begin a curious journey of learning and self-discovery.
The Three Acts of BDSM
I model my sex education practice on what I call the three acts of BDSM - that being a negotiation, the scene, and aftercare. These three acts allow for a framework to be established that incorporates and increases security, playfulness, and intimacy. You will see these tenets throughout my various offerings, whether it be through a more pedagogical or self-reflective approach.
At the end of the day, we all deserve to know how to increase our access to pleasure and understand how to form deep, meaningful connections with ourselves and others. I believe that this can only truly be achieved by ensuring access to information so that we can shine a light on these deep shadows of shame and illuminate those new paths of self-discovery.
